Persian dishes have developed with the idea of a balanced diet, by mixing hot and cold ingredients.
- Typical Breakfast: hot flat bread (Sangak, Tafton, barbari, Lavash, …) + Hot black tea, feta cheese, optional additions: tomato, cucumber, mint, eggs, butter, jam, etc.
- Typical Lunch: Rice with Kabob or a stew (ghormeh sabzi, fesenjoon, etc.) or Mixed rice with beans, lentils, herbs, etc.) with beef/lamb/chicken; or/along with soups or herbal porridge + a side of hot bread and feta cheese and herbs, etc.
- Typical Dinner: Herbal casseroles, lentil pancakes, tomato omelets, + yogurt and derivatives watermelon, bread and cheese.
- Typical Desserts: Fruits ; Rice puddings, ice cream, sorbet, etc.
