Shab e Chelleh/ Yalda
Iranians celebrate the Northern Hemisphere’s winter Solstice, called Yalda or Shab e Chelleh. That night which is the longest night of the year is spent with friends and family to eat, drink and read poetry(Hafez) until well after midnight.
